“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” -- 2 Timothy 1:7 (NKJV)
Each of us has something great within us. God has deposited something special inside of me and you, however too many of us do not use what is in us. This happens because our gifts lie dormant, because of fear. I have let fear paralyze me to a passive place and cripple me to a place of inactivity where my dreams have diminished. I had to come to a place where I stood on God’s word to live in the blessings of my dreams and not in a life where my dreams are deprived.
I had to learn how to speak God’s word, which is life. Speaking life into my situation, where people said I was not going to make it, but God says I have already made it. I am the head and not the tail; I choose life. I have a choice to fill my life with positive people who have similar interests and to leave the fair-the-well people who do not mean me well alone. These are the people who deplete your energy and you always feel drained.
Being with people who inspire you is the place where ideas are created and worked on. As Paul told Timothy, “God has not given us a spirit of fear.” Fear can be used to let us know something is going on, but when fear stops you in your tracks, remember it is not of God. It is time to live in your dreams and stop making excuses and allow God’s power to allow you to soar. God’s power is able to do more for you than you can think or imagine. Step out on faith. With God all things are possible.
Lord, help me to live in the moment, to trust You and not allow fear to paralyze me. I realize You have not given me the spirit of fear, allow me to walk in love and have a sound mind. Amen.
