Princeton has over 300 qualified on-staff physicians with interests in over 30 specialties. The physician who admits you is responsible for directing your care while you are a patient in the hospital. Your physician, as the coordinator for your treatment program, should be consulted if you have questions about your illness.
A registered nurse is assigned each shift to supervise your care. The registered nurse may be assisted in your care by licensed practical nurses or nursing assistants. Princeton's nurses are dedicated to meet your medical needs and to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
During your stay, you may receive care from a student nurse. These students work under the close supervision of nursing school faculty and staff nurses, all of whom are highly qualified registered nurses.

Licensed social workers are available to help you and your family cope with the emotional and economic stresses that can often accompany illness and hospitalization. In addition to counseling services, our social workers can provide information about community agencies that offer assistance in areas including: discharge planning, vocational rehabilitation, social security benefits, mental health programs, temporary housing, transportation, support groups, drug and alcohol treatment programs, children's services and senior citizen's activities. Technologists and Therapists
While at Princeton, technologists and therapists from various departments may assist in your care. You may see professionals from radiology (X-ray), laboratory, respiratory care, physical therapy and other departments. All of these staff members are qualified in their areas of care and work under the direction of your physician. Princeton also has a staff of registered dietitians to address your nutritional education requirements during your stay and after you are discharged.
A Case Manager is a registered nurse who works with your physician, nurses and other team members to assist with your care. The health care team uses a plan of care which has been developed by Baptist's health care professionals to help in coordinating your care while you are here, and in planning for your care after you leave the hospital.
Princeton believes that total patient care demands attention to the spiritual, as well as the physical and emotional, needs of each patient. Chaplains are available 24-hours a day to assist you, whatever your religious tradition. If you would like to speak to a chaplain, please call extension 3493, call the operator and ask for the on call chaplain, or ask your nurse for assistance. Prayer rooms are located on most floors of the hospital for people who want a quiet place to meditate or pray. Whitten Chapel is also available to you or your family. It is located in the first floor lobby of the main hospital. Non-denominational services are held in the chapel on Sundays at 10:45 a.m. This service is also being televised on channel 45 in your hospital room.

Volunteers provide valuable assistance to the patients and staff at Princeton by donating more than 30,000 hours of service each year. These women and men are here to help make your stay as pleasant and comfortable as possible. Volunteers provide delivery for mail, flowers, magazines and many other services for the patients and hospital staff. They may be reached by calling extension 3067.
